1. Identity and Address of the Controller
WiziApp (hereinafter "Wizi"), based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data, in strict compliance with the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
2. Personal Data We Collect
In order to carry out the purposes described in this notice, WiziApp will collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identification and contact data of the Guardian/Teacher: Full name, phone number (for OTP validation), email address and password (encrypted).
- Data of minors (Students): Full name, CURP, student ID, grade, group and school affiliation. This data is processed with the explicit consent of the father, mother or legal guardian when they register the student on the platform.
- Usage and device data: Information about interaction with the application, announcements read and sign-in records.
3. Sensitive Personal Data (Medical Record)
In addition to the data above, in order to safeguard students in an emergency, we request your consent to collect sensitive personal data, such as:
- Blood type, allergies and relevant medical notes.
- Names and phone numbers of emergency contacts.
This data is strictly confidential and is used solely for the school to consult in the event of a contingency.
4. Purposes of Data Processing
The personal data we collect will be used for the following primary purposes, which are necessary for the service:
- Creating and managing your user account (Parent or Teacher profiles).
- Recording and following up on daily attendance at school and by class.
- Enabling communication (messaging) between the school, teachers and parents.
- Sending push notifications about institutional announcements, school events and absence reports.
- Safeguarding students (managing early-release permissions and medical records).
5. Transfer of Data to Third Parties
WiziApp does not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. Your data is hosted on secure cloud servers (infrastructure providers such as Supabase/Google), which comply with international encryption and security standards.
Student information is shared with and visible only to the school the student is enrolled in and to authorized teachers.
6. Exercising ARCO Rights and Revoking Consent
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and your children, what we use it for and the conditions of that use (Access). You likewise have the right to request the correction of your personal information if it is out of date or inaccurate (Rectification); to have it removed from our records through the "Delete Account" option in the app (Cancellation); as well as to object to the use of your data for specific purposes (Objection).
To exercise your ARCO rights, you may do so directly from your profile settings in WiziApp or by contacting us through the application's support channels.
7. Changes to the Privacy Notice
This privacy notice may be modified, changed or updated as a result of new legal requirements, of our own needs for the services we offer, or of our privacy practices. We undertake to keep you informed of any changes through a notification inside the WiziApp application or by email.
